PREMIER LEAGUE AND PREMIER LEAGUE RESERVES
The Water Polo Queensland Premier League will be back in September 2024 bigger and better than ever. This season will see a freshly imagined competition featuring the 4 best teams from the 2023 battle it out against each other, and the WPQ U19 Barbarians team, for the Premier League title.
The format of the 2024 WPQ Premier League will see the adaptation of a weekly competition mode where the competition is split into a ‘League’ and ‘Reserves’ competitions based upon the results from the 2023 competition alongside EOIs. The purpose of the separate divisions is to enhance the development experience for the players while promoting urgency via a promotion/relegation system. The updated structure will also see elite level water polo return to grassroots venues
