2024 Senior Country Championships

The 2024 QLD Country Championships concluded with remarkable performances from both women's and men's teams, showcasing the best of regional talent. This year's tournament saw four women's teams and seven men's teams vying for the coveted titles, making it a memorable event for athletes and spectators alike. The tournament, held in Townsville from February 16th to 18th, 2024, featured over 130 athletes and 40 games played across three days. The successful event concluded with congratulations to the winners and accolades for outstanding individual performances.

In the men's competition, Gold Coast Blue secured a direct path to the gold medal match. The major semifinal pitted Sunshine Coast against Rockhampton, with Sunshine Coast delivering a decisive victory to earn their place in the final. Meanwhile, Gold Coast Gold faced Cairns in the minor semifinal, narrowly edging out Cairns by just two goals.

For the women's teams, Cairns Sunshine Coast faced Rockhampton Mackay, and Gold Coast competed against Townsville. After intense matches, Cairns Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast emerged victorious, setting up a highly anticipated gold medal match. The final was a thrilling encounter, with Cairns Sunshine Coast clinching the win by a two-goal margin.
