Aquatic Industry Sport Sector Plan Approved!

I am very pleased to advise you all that the Aquatic Industry Sport Sector Plan has now been approved by State Government and appears on the State Government website: https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/government-actions/approved-industry-covid-safe-plans
For our WPQ Associations and Clubs to adopt the Industry Plan and be able to conduct activities in accordance with this industry plan, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- All Associations and Clubs officially opting in to the Aquatic Industry Sport Sector Plan are required to print, sign and display the Industry COVID Safe Plan Statement of Compliance at all venues and during all Assoc/Club based activities. - All Associations and Clubs shall adopt, implement and adhere to the operational requirements from the Industry Plan. In particular, adhering to and completing the Covid-Safe Plan Checklist that appears from page 40 of the attached Aquatic Industry Plan.
- Associations and Clubs must also adhere to the water polo specific guidelines and advice provided by WPQ and WPA. To access these WPQ resources click here.
- Where required, Associations and Clubs shall add to their WHS Plan their requirements to manage COVID-19 (including risk management plans). Refer to the relevant pages of the attached WHS Qld Covd-19 Overview and Guide for more information.
Also, of particular importance is the requirement from State Government to comply with the following key conditions:
- Physical distancing to be maintained by all workers, members, participants and visitors, unless otherwise specified in the Industry Plan.
- An area of 4 square meters per person is to be maintained at all times, unless otherwise specified in the Industry Plan.
- Hand and respiratory hygiene is to be encouraged.
- Frequent environmental cleaning and disinfecting must be maintained.
- Workers, members, participants and visitors who have symptoms related to COVID-19 must be excluded from the site
- Contact information must be kept for all workers, members, participants and visitors for contact tracing purposes, including name, address and mobile phone number for a period of at least 56 days.
