Emerging Athletes Pathways - Pre Event Payments

Supporting Queensland’s young athletes.
The Emerging Athlete Pathways subsidy is an initiative of Activate Success—a key priority of the Activate! Queensland 2019-2029 strategy to enhance sport performance excellence and success, and keep Queensland winning.
By supporting young athletes, the program will assist the next generation of Queensland’s sporting talent and inspire others to lead an active lifestyle.
The Emerging Athlete Pathways subsidy provides funding to help alleviate the costs associated with attending state, national or international events, and support pathways to elite success.
From January 2020, the Emerging Athlete Pathways subsidy will include a trial of pre-event payments.
Eligible athletes and officials will now be able to apply for the travel subsidy before they compete.
