NQ GAMES - WATER POLO REGISTRATION NOW OPEN – 10-13 April, 2020 in Townsville

Water Polo Queensland is happy to announce that water polo will now be played at the 2020 North Queensland Games.

The 2020 NQ games will play host to over 3,600 athletes from 30+ sports with water polo making it's first appearance in the games in 2020. The NQ Games is the largest run multi-sport event in regional Australia and this year will be hosted in Townsville.

The competition will be hosted at the Strand Rockpool and the competition format of the event will be Beach Water Polo 4's.

Event Details

Event

Water Polo at the 2020 North Queensland Gams will be run as a club/team based event following FINA Beach Water Polo 4 Rules. Players/Teams are invited to attend the event from schools, universities and social teams from all over Queensland, Australia or Internationally. Players are not required to be registered with WPQ/WPA to attend the event.

Venue

The event will be played in the Strand Rockpool, Townsville.

Date and Times

The event will be run over the Easter Long Weekend ( Friday 10 - Monday 13 April, 2020)*. Dependent on the nominations received the event may run over 2 or 3 days, with Monday allocated as a travel and tourism day. The event will run between 9am and 5pm, during daylight hours.

Divisions

The North Queensland Games will offer Water Polo in the following divisions:

• Under 14's – Girls, Boys & Mixed (Born 2006/07/08)
• Under 16's - Girls, Boys & Mixed (Born 2004/05/06/07)
• Under 18's - Girls, Boys & Mixed (Born 2002/03/04/05)
• Opens - Ladies, Men’s & Mixed (Born 2001>)
• Masters – Ladies, Men’s & Mixed (Aged 35 & Above)

Team Registration Fee

The team registration fee will be $480 per team inc. GST (excluding the $20 per person NQ Games registration fee). Please Note: The team registration fee does not include travel or accommodation.

Team registrations will be limited to a minimum of 6 and maximum of 7 athletes per team.

Each team must appoint a Team Manager or official (who is over 18 years of age) who must register the team and enter the individual team members details via the NQ Games on-line portal. The team registration fee of $480 incl. GST plus the NQ Games registration fee of $20 per person must be paid in full as one payment via the NQ Games on-line portal. Please Note: Individual on-line payments will not be accepted.

The NQ Games registration fee includes a competitors pack consisting of the NQ Games bag, gym towel, hat and water bottle.

All registrations will go into a draw for a Whitsunday Holiday to the value of $2,000.

Team Registration Process

**Team Registrations must be made by the Team Manager and will not be accepted until payment is completed**.

Individuals wishing to enter the draft process must submit their EOI via this link: https://form.jotform.co/200047215742849

Team nominations:

• Click on this link to create your login: https://enternqg.com/register
• Enter your First Name > your Last Name > email address > password > confirm password and then register.
• Once the registration is complete you will then be linked to the ‘Water Polo’ portal and the Login Page
• You will then reach the ‘home page’ where Team registration can be made by Team Managers
• Team Managers will add a team and upload their individual players details
• Team Managers, please complete all sections of the form, taking care to select the correct division and player details.

Please note: The team registration process will not be accepted unless a minimum of (6) six names are nominated and full payment is completed via credit card, ie. Team registration of $480 per team incl. GST plus $20 per person NQ Games fee.

Administration

NQ Games will manage all registrations, payments, marketing, and medals for the event. Water Polo Queensland will be planning, administering and running the event in conjunction with Townsville Water Polo.

Team Nominations and Draft

All team nominations are to be processed directly with NQ Games here. Team registrations will open soon. A team manager or team official is to pay the team registration fee of $480 inc. GST plus the $20 per person NQ Games fee upon nomination. Water Polo Queensland will not be processing invoices.

Teams are welcome to nominate from existing clubs, schools or as social teams. Water Polo Queensland will be providing a draft nomination on the following link.
