QLD ATHLETES SHINE IN FINA WORLD LEAGUE INTER-CONTINTENTAL CUP

Queenslanders Gabi Palm, Bronwen Knox, and Sophie Milliken take home silver for the Aussies Stingers at the FINA World League Intercontinental Cup in Perth over the weekend. 

The Stingers, who have been strong all tournament narrowly lost 12-14 in the final against the USA in a penalty shoot out. 

The performances give the teams confidence as they prepare for the FINA World League Finals and 2019 FINA World Championship in South Korea. 

To add to their success each Queenslander takes away a memento from the tournament. 

Goal Keeper Gabi Palm won player of the game in their 12-8 win over China in the semi-final and Brownen Knox who scored 6 goals over the 4 days came away with women's MVP of the tournament.  

Meanwhile, Sophie Milliken made her debut for Australia against South Africa on Day 2.

The Aussie Sharks came out victorious after a 10-8 win after Japan for the gold.
