Published Thu 11 Oct 2018
The Queensland training squads for the upcoming 2018/19 Australian Waterpolo League (AWL) season have been named following the recent announcement that will see a single Queensland entity compete in Australia's national competition, for the next two seasons.
80+ athletes took part in trial sessions throughout September that provided coaches with an opportunity to see the best of Queensland's talent all compete for selection to these AWL training squads. The squads will now prepare for the AWL season over the coming months before the final roster of 22 players is announced in early 2019.
