Silver for the Barracudas
Published Mon 08 Oct 2018
It was a big week of water polo for eight Queensland teams who competed at the recent 16&U Club Nationals in Hobart (Girls) and Perth (Boys).
Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, and supporters who travelled to Perth and Hobart. The tournament is a fantastic opportunity to compete against some of Australia's top 16&U teams and gain invaluable experience ahead of the Summer Season and end of year Water Polo Queensland State Titles.
A special mention to the Brisbane Barracudas boys team who finished second in Perth. It was a nail-biting final between the Barras and UWA City Beach Bears. Nothing separated the two sides as they headed into the final quarter but it was UWA who were able to take the lead and hold back the Barras attack. A thrilling, 4-3 victory to UWA and a fantastic result for the young Barras side, who will be ones to watch this season and at the Water Polo Queensland State Titles. Well done Noah, who was awarded MVG and selected for the Born '02 training camp. Keep an eye on this talented youngster!
