Sydney Youth Polo Festival Draw Released

The draw for the Sydney Youth Water Polo Festival has been released. Twelve (12) teams from Queensland will travel to Sydney to compete in the 4 days of competition against other state and international representative teams.

Distance no problem for Rockhampton youngster

For Sean McDonald, 15, the eight-hour drive to Brisbane is part and parcel of training with the 16&U Boys White Team as they prepare for the Sydney Youth Water Polo Festival, 1-6 July. The Rockhampton youngster makes the journey on a regular basis to train and develop his water polo skills.Â

Tuesday night was a milestone moment for Team QLD, as athletes, coaches, and staff gathered together for the player presentation evening. It was the first time that the 170-strong touring party was together and was an opportunity for players across the different age groups to meet each other.

As senior members of the 149-athlete touring party, Matt Lenarduzzi, Mackenzie Grice, Sophie Milliken, and Nic Porter will lead Team QLD as Tour Captains. Itâ€™s an opportunity for older athletes to mentor the younger athletes, many who are representing Queensland and being on tour for the first time.
