U14 Squads Announced

Water Polo Queensland (WPQ) has today announced the State Squads and Coaches in preparation for the upcoming Interstate Challenge in Hobart at the Doone Kennedy Aquatic Centre, September 28 - October 03, 2020.
Over 100 athletes have been named in the U14 State Squads and will vie for a place in Team Queensland. WPQ have also appointed 12 State Coaches who will be overseeing the selection of six (6) teams - three Boys and three Girls teams to represent Queensland.
WPQ CEO Mel Woosnam said, "We have undertaken a thorough and transparent selection process to appoint an experienced panel of Coaches and Selectors to oversee the athlete Talent Identification and selection process. We want to ensure as many Queenslanders have the opportunity to be considered for these State Squads. WPQ are committed to selecting the best possible Coaches to ensure we give our Queensland athletes the best opportunity to perform at their optimal level. We are fortunate to have an enthusiastic and experienced coaching team encompassing a blend of youth and experience to benefit the next generation of Queensland water polo players. We look forward to delivering a comprehensive Squad training program in the coming months before we announce the Queensland Teams in Term Three".
