Water Polo Queensland Management Committee Resignation

WPQ would like to advise that Paula Shannon has stepped down from her role as Finance Officer of the Management Committee due to work and personal reasons, effective immediately.

“Paula has been a loyal supporter of Water Polo Queensland and it’s programs for the time she has been a member of the Management Committee. Her knowledge and consideration of governance issues have been invaluable," said Sharyn Tucker WPQ President. "We wish her all the very best with her new professional role and associated increased responsibilities and of course her young family.”

"I am very proud of what we have all achieved over the past 2 years that I have been on the Committee. The level of governance, fairness and growth we have brought to the sport is truly amazing. I believe the organisation is now very well placed to consolidate on the improvements that have been made, with Melanie leading this as the CEO." Paula said.

The Board of WPQ will follow an open, fair and transparent appointment process for a suitably qualified person for the position of Finance Officer. Expressions of interest along with a role description will be sent out in due course from the WPQ office and we encourage all interested, skilled and qualified Club or Association people from across Queensland to apply.
