Water Polo Queensland Masters Polo 5's Championships

Following the cancellation of the Masters Pan Pacific Games and the Water Polo Australia Open Championships, Water Polo Queensland is happy to annoucne the release of it's Masters Polo 5's Championships. The Championships will be open to all registered and non-registered Water Polo Australia and Water Polo New Zealand members (pending border opening).
Event DetailsDatesNovember 6th to 8th, 2020 VenuePending nominations, both the Men’s and Women’s competition will be run out of the Gold Coast Performance Centre. Team Fee and NominationThe team registration fee will be $600 per team (note: you do not need to enter under a club, you can enter as your own team) inc. GST. Please Note: a non-refundable deposit of $50 per team is required at the time of entry. Team registrations will be limited to a minimum of 7 and maximum of 8 athletes per team. Each team must appoint a team manager or official who must register the team and enter the individual team members details via Revolutionise Sport (access will be given to the appointed mamager or official). The remaining team registration fee of $550 incl. GST will be invoiced to the team manager or official by Water Polo Queensland. The fee must be paid in full before commencement of the competition. Please Note: Individual on-line payments will not be accepted. Official's NominationTeams are to nominate a suitably qualified referee. This referee can be a team official or player in the competition. Please nominate your referee on the below link: FormatPolo 5's (min 7 and max 8 players) - 1 Goal Keeper and 4 field players at anyone time. Min age 30 years Seperate Men's and Women's Competition. Age division as per below: Silver Age: Minimum 7 players, total age of 245 years, 8 players total age of 285 years. Gold Age: Minimum 7 players, total age of 329 years, 8 players total age of 381 years. Platinum Age: Minimum 7 players, total age of 427 years, 8 players total age of 491 years. Water Polo Queensland will follow the timeline below for the competition: 28th September: Team Nominations, Team Lists and Deposit Due 28th September: Draft Closes 5th October: Remaining Invoice Due 16th October: Draw Finalised and Released AdministrationWater Polo Queensland will adminster the delivery, draw and daily running of the competition. Furthermore, Water Polo Queensland will be respnsible for the apppointment of all Referees and Pool Coordinators.
