Water Polo Queensland Term 3 Camps - Sunshine Coast

Water Polo Queensland is excited to host two, Term 3 Camps at St. Andrew’s College Aquatic Centre on the Sunshine Coast.

The camps will offer an exciting and affordable opportunity for all registered and non-registered players Born 2003/04/05/06/07 who live in or outside of the Sunshine Coast. WPQ welcomes Simon Daley and Benn Lees as the coaches for the two camps. Both coaches have worked in high performance water polo with Benn Lees being the current QAS, QLD Thunder and Under 20 Australian Women’s Coach and Simon Daley being a former QAS and National Junior Coach.

WPQ CEO Mel Woosnam said “Water Polo Queensland is excited to secure the services of Benn Lees and Simon Daley to assist in the delivery of the Term 3 Camps at St. Andrew’s. WPQ has also employed to services of a strength and conditioning coach, who will offer sessions during the camp and take-home programs for each attendee. As the state team program will be operating at this time, WPQ are happy to offer opportunities to those who would not generally receive training opportunities from such high caliber coaches. This is a fantastic opportunity and we are also very grateful to run these camps at such an amazing facility in St. Andrew’s Aquatic Centre.”

The Term 3 camps will run over two weekends; 23^rd and 30^th of August. Each camp will run for 3 hours, with each camp being capped at 40 attendees. Registrations will be open on a first in first served basis.

The program costs have been kept as low as possible to make these programs as affordable and accessible as possible. Each 3-hour camp will cost $50 per person and includes expert coaching, pool hire, a strength and conditioning take home program and equipment use.
